At the Human Resources and Staff Liaison Committee on 15 May 2009, members received a report on compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the management of the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Paper HR09/17). During the discussion of that report, the Committee agreed to consider arrangements for dip-sampling of risk assessments. This report includes proposals to strengthen the role of the Health and Safety Link Member (which includes dip-sampling of risk assessments and a regular report to the Committee).
