HOW YOU CAN HELP

We can only keep Suffolk one of the safest counties in the country with your help. There are many ways in which you can make a contribution.

This includes the following:

Join a Watch Scheme - there are watch schemes all over the county ranging from the traditional Neighbourhood Watch to Car Watch, Farm Watch, Boat Watch etc, all of which are aimed at reducing the opportunities for crime. Join a Crime Prevention Panel or a Young Person's Crime Prevention Panel which are held throughout the county, again, to help reduce opportunities for crime. For further information contact the Crime Prevention Unit, Suffolk Police Headquarters.

Join the Special Constabulary and become an unpaid volunteer to provide valuable support working alongside uniformed police staff. For further information contact the Human Resources Department, Suffolk Police Headquarters.

Respond to our surveys; the Police regularly surveys 24,000 members of the community or service users a year to ask their views on policing in Suffolk.
