| Welcome to the Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch website The website is intended for use by all members of the Suffolk community. If you are visiting our site but not a member of NW and would like to find out more please visit the links on this page for more information.
The Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch Association Executive Committee has a second site, www.onesuffolk.co.uk/SuffolkNeighbourhoodWatch where up to date information is posted on what is being done by the Association and news from the regional and national NW groups.
The 2004-08 Home Office Strategic Plan and the White Paper – “Building Communities, Beating Crime” have set out a vision for policing which is more accessible and responsive to the publics needs. The vision is in line with the key principles of Suffolk First for You, which is the title of the Constabulary’s aim at making Suffolk the safest county in England.
The implementation of Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) during 2007 is a major change to the way policing is delivered in Suffolk with police officers, some police staff and partners working together based in the community with the public having more of a say in how we deliver our service. The SNTs will all be working together with local people in their neighbourhood to improve their quality of life and Neighbourhood Watch can play a key role. With over 95,000 households in the county covered by schemes, Neighbourhood Watch in Suffolk is in a position to make a real difference.
IF YOU REGISTER ON THE WEBSITE you will be sent the latest newsletter automatically by e-mail. The registration facility will provide the option to select all or specific newsletters. (This facility is available to all members of NW and interested members of the community).
