Applications are invited for the above post within the Fingerprint Bureau at Halesworth Police Station to provide administrative support to the detection of crime by means of fingerprints.
Duties will include the receiving and recording of scenes of crime cases and fingerprint forms, the maintenance of the Suffolk segment of the national fingerprint database and fingerprint form collections, the comparison and identification of fingerprint images and general tasks in support of the fingerprint officers.
Previous clerical / administrative experience is essential, together with good communication and interpersonal skills. You should be computer literate and be able to show accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday. Applications for part time/job share work will be considered. This post is offered on a temporary basis for 12 months.
